This has been my first weekend staying at Cambridge. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going somewhere over the weekend, because it just feels like that is what you are suppose to do, but I have loved it. Being an introvert and a crazy person, I need some time to be alone, to just sit and think, or to sleep in. I have spent the last 6 weeks in constant motion, moving to a new city or country ever few days. It is so rewarding and exciting but its also super draining at times. Today I slept in, sat in my bed for a while, went to brunch with friends, and then took a lovely walk to Grantchester to have tea and scones at The Orchard. It was something that I had wanted to do since I began planning on coming to Cambridge, so when I was getting ready to go on the walk, I had one of those moments where I appreciated everything that was going on. After the walk, I came back and worked on my essay based on the question, "What is Wilsonian diplomacy and how did it influence the making of The Treaty of Versailles?". It was so pleasant to not feel overwhelmed. It is the worst to be reading, but feel like there is just no way you can possibly read fast enough. Anyways, after working on my essay for awhile Nicole, Linda and I finally ate great food! So went to Nando's, a restaurant known for having spice and it was so good. So parents, don't be disappointed that I didn't go to Ireland, I really did enjoy today a lot and appreciate a day of downtime. Below are pictures from the walk to Grantchester.
