Paris - Versailles

Waiting in line to get in:

Front Gate:

Hall Of Mirrors:

Gardens:

Here's the story: So we had walked around the Chateau, the Gardens, Grand Trianon, and had finally made it to Petit Trianon.  I was searching the grounds for Marie Antoinette's Estates and this was most certainly not it.  I was looking for a cute little farm house, not another palace.

But, we found her estate around 4pm.  It was adorable and well worth the walk (in my opinion).  It was an idealized little farming village that she imagined and made for her own pleasure.  It was an escape from the invasive palace lifestyle.  We could not go in any of the buildings but the outside views were sufficient for me.

We made it back to the Chateau and were beat.

According to Rick Steeve's (our own personal tour guide in the form of a book), this little cafe is actually a literary and historic gem (as is the one right beside it).  So, we decided to have dinner there since it is right across the street from our metro stop.  According to Mr. Steeves, Hemingway visited this cafe often and even had two of his characters meet there in The Sun Also Rises.  Anyways, we and dinner there and there is nothing more noteworthy to say than that.  I got pasta, mom got a cheese plate and a beer.
